This will be a great way to join your friends again on the bus as we head into New York City for one of Broadway's best new shows. Afterward we'll be able to enjoy a speedboat tour of lower Manhattan - with loud music, crazy tour guides, and chances to grab pictures of the Statue of Liberty and lower Manhattan. We will stop to eat lunch in Bryant Park before the broadway show.
This is a thrillingly theatrical piece—perfect for teens who enjoy jump-scares, supernatural storytelling, and cinematic staging in live theater. If your teen handles sensory intensity well and isn’t easily unsettled by darker themes, this is likely a memorable and exciting outing. If not, you may want to preview excerpts or consult sensory-sensitive reviews before committing.
The BEAST isn’t your average sightseeing cruise—it’s a 30-minute high-octane thrill ride across New York Harbor. Blasting off from Midtown, this speedboat races down the Hudson at up to 45 mph, carving sharp turns, bouncing over waves, and drenching riders with spray while blasting music and cracking jokes. Along the way, you’ll get an up-close, picture-perfect view of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline, but the real draw is the rollercoaster-on-water energy.
This ride is best for teens and adventurous families who want excitement with their sightseeing. Expect loud music, laughter, speed, and splashes—it’s less about calm cruising and more about creating a big, memorable “wow” moment on the water.
Weekend Warrior trips are staffed by the trained and experienced Travel Camp counselors and directors and follow the same safety, comfort, and communication protocols as our Summer Tour.
